Currently, we are looking for a Data Analyst for a long-term project with a global retailer from the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a brand-new IMS Data Platform (potentially MicroSoft Fabric);
Recreate all the IMS data flows;
- Recreating Motor & Home Data flows - Transforming Kingfisher data from CDL to new IMS data platform;
- Recreating Finance outputs (Daybook, Trial Balance) that feeds to Finance systems (Oracle, Accurate);
- Recreating Workflow manager reports that feeds back-office task management system;
- Provisioning of required Motor and Home data for building SAS and Power BI reporting;
- Recreating SAS / Sierra Data flows (Pet & Travel insurance, Money Services – ATM & Gift cards, Clubcard and Dunnhumby, Marketing Data flow etc);
- Migrating any historic IMS data from existing data platform to new Fabric data platform;
Recreating all IMS Commercial reporting;
- Power BI reports;
- Enterprise reports;
- Create an SQL Analytics end point corrected to Fabric platform and give access to Data Analytics team;
- Successful Delivery of the Data Governance app that is chosen by the Data Governance team and integrate with the IMS Fabric Data Platform.
Requirements
- Experience in financial services or insurance environments with a focus on data;
- SDLC expertise in business and IT change delivery, including data platforms, data warehouses, databases, data transformations, and database implementations;
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including analysis, data, and engineering;
- Ability to collect, clean, and analyze various datasets;
- Strong understanding of data trends and patterns;
- Conducts data analysis to support systems, databases, and data transformation designs;
- Applies data analysis techniques to interpret data;
- Utilizes data visualization tools;
- Develops and maintains dashboards;
- Expertise in data modeling and structuring;
- Experience with data integration;
- Proficiency in ETL pipelines;
- Knowledge of data quality controls and management;
- Ability to document functional data requirements and technical data specifications (e.g., data flows and data designs);
- Experience in preparing a Data Catalogue;
- Application testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect resolution support.
